When is enough, enough???

Like I've noted before the West Haven city council meetings is like a High School study hall. No people are getting so upset during these mettings it's causinghealth problems!!!!!!!! Things need to improved ASAP!!!

Oh, and suddenly there is plethora of information and docs posted on the city council's website............

Wati a sec. they are just all agendas, Where the minutes from all these meetings? I only see minutes from the 9/25 meeting, what abouth the 9/11 meeting?

What a great artcle in this week's West Haven Voice, titled "A Few Suggestions" kudos to it's authoer Tom Conroy. He has some excellent ideas for the city. If only the mayor and the city council would take notice ................

Columbus Day Parade????

In it's dire finacial situation can the cioty really afford to have a Columbus Day parade on Sunday???? What about all the overtime costs that will be incurred?????? Why isn't this parade being moved to next Thursday???

BE INFORMED!!!

I'm a little late to the chase but I encourage all residents to read the article below that appeared in the NH Register back in August. Read ti, educate yourselves, be present at the city council meeting when they try to imposed a mid-year tax increase or raise our taxes again for next year!!!!!!! Why ARE TAXPAYER'S ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR FUNDING THE CITY'S BUDGET DEFICIT?????

Call it as I see it..........

Hi again,

First a quick update: The spray paint has finally been removed from the Bailey Middle School sign. Apparently, there has been more complaints regarding the appearance of city schools that have been brought up, I guess there is much more work to be done here....

Today my beef is with the City Council. They really need to open themselves up to the community. Meeting announcements and minutes should be more promptly posted to the city's website. They should be more through, and much more clearer to read so residents have a better understanding of what is happening in what is a major forum for decisions that impact taxpayers.

I hope that in the near future the residents of West Haven can establish more of a campaign to get the city council to provide better communication and get them more involved in proceedings. Usually people want to get involved after the important decisions have been made by the council.

In attain, reading some of the stories on the web regarding the proceedings during these meetings it seems as more of a "high school study hall" as opposed to a City Council meeting..... Finally, the council seems to have a bad habit of brushing-off residents concerns and statements that are made......

All meeting minutes from the city council are "supposed" to be posted within 7 days after the meeting. If I calcualte it right today is day 7, the council had a meeting on 9/25/2006.

Something has to be done.........
